Our Mission
“Serving our community by providing education and resources to help individuals and families achieve healthy lives.”
The Health & Wellness Ministry at Riverchase United Methodist Church is dedicated to nurturing the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our congregation and community. We believe that caring for our bodies and minds is an essential part of our Christian faith.
Our ministry offers a variety of activities and resources, including yoga classes, quarterly educational health facts on our website, and pop-up health events like CPR and first aid training. As we grow, we’re excited to explore new initiatives such as a Saturday walking group, combining physical activity with fellowship.
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Our goal is to inspire and equip our church family to lead healthier, more balanced lives, enabling them to more fully engage in worship, service, and fellowship. We invite all members to participate and contribute to this exciting new ministry. We hope you will be a part of this ministry.
