Description
The Psychological Well-Being Scale--Brief Chinese Version (PWBS; Chan, Chan, & Sun, 2019) measures psychological well-being in adolescents. The PWBS (Ryff, 1989) is based on the seminal work of Ryff and her colleagues (Ryff, 1989), who proposed the framework of psychological well-being and was developed to work with adults and the elderly. Items were translated from English into simple Chinese. Psychometric analysis was conducted using adolescents from Hong Kong for the sample. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses provide evidence of a six-factor structure across a final items. Internal consistencies were good for the subscales.
