What’s this webinar about?

The first event on Day One of our chase-the-sun series on key OH&S topics, this webinar explores not only why psychological health, safety and well-being should be at the heart of OH&S, but also the importance of recognizing different risks and needs. With an introduction to ISO 45003, the first global standard on this topic,  we will discuss how organizations can identify and manage  psychosocial risks taking into account how this varies for different workers depending on individual characteristics and other factors.  Our experts will offer practical, easily implemented approaches and tips for ensuring no worker is left unprotected.

Kate Field, Global Head Health, Safety & Wellbeing Assurance, BSI

Kate is an Award Winning Thought Leader, Author, Journalist, Keynote Speaker and expert on health, safety and well-being.  With over 20 years of experience across all sectors, from Regulator to consultant, Kate uses her experience, knowledge and expertise to drive BSI's global strategy for creating safer, healthier, fairer, and more inclusive workplaces.

Kate uses her voice and work to reach global audiences to champion cultural change, which puts trust, engagement and well-being at the forefront and inspires colleagues and stakeholders around the world to make a difference. Kate’s work includes working with NGOs including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and research institutions to drive insight and policy change.

Kate has developed the first global training and certification programme for ISO 45003 on psychological health and safety management and authored the best practice framework on workplace trust, engagement, inclusion and well-being - BSI’s Prioritizing People Model©, which has reached 8000 organizations across 119 countries and a global audience in excess of 50 million.

Joelle Mitchell, Global Head of Psychological Health and Safety, FlourishDx

Joelle Mitchell is an Organisational Psychologist and human factors specialist, currently working with People Diagnostix as their Global Head of Psychological Health and Safety.
She takes academic research findings from the fields of psychology, OHS and human factors, and translates them into the language and tools used in the field of risk management. She applies the principles of evidence-based practice to drive improvement in psychological health and safety outcomes. She is a regular speaker at industry events and co-host of the Psych Health and Safety Podcast. Her qualifications include a BSc(Honours) and a Master of Applied Psychology.
