As a psychologist and spiritual counselor, people often ask me if I am healed completely. And my answer to them is always, “I am a work in progress. I’m always healing.”
That answer confuses them, simple because most people have this common misconception that healing is a destination or a goal to reach. I used to think in exactly those terms when I began my healing journey too. Now as I approach my 46th birthday on 29th September, I can safely and happily say, it is not a destination. Healing is a life long journey of coming back to yourself.
The more I heal, the more I know my true nature.
The more I heal, the more I can live life on my own terms.
The more I heal, the more confident I become in my own skin.
The more I heal, the more I know healing is a daily journey inwards.
These 10 tips have helped me and countless other healing souls to stay on this beautiful journey:
1. Practice Self-Compassion:
Be kind to yourself, just as you would to a dear friend. Embrace imperfections and remember that nobody is perfect. Treat yourself with the same love and understanding you offer to others.
2. Forgive Yourself:
Release the weight of past mistakes and embrace growth. Forgiveness is liberating and allows you to open up to new beginnings. Be gentle with yourself as you learn and evolve.
3. Carve Out Time for Yourself:
Amid life’s hustle, remember to pause and prioritize YOU. Whether it’s a peaceful morning routine, a serene walk, or time spent doing what you love, make self-care a non-negotiable part of your day.
4. Take Care of Your Mind & Body:
Nourish your mental and physical health. Engage in mindfulness practices, take deep breaths, and engage in activities that bring joy to your soul. Remember, your well-being matters.
5. Prioritize Self-Care:
Self-care is essential for overall wellbeing. Set aside time for activities that rejuvenate you, whether it’s reading, taking a bath, meditating, or simply going for a walk. Self-care helps reduce stress and allows you to recharge.
6. Cultivate Healthy Relationships:
Surround yourself with positive, supportive, and nurturing relationships. Nurture these connections and communicate openly with loved ones. Healthy relationships can provide emotional support and enhance your sense of belonging.
7. Get Quality Sleep:
Prioritize sleep by maintaining a consistent sleep schedule and creating a comfortable sleep environment. Quality sleep is essential for physical and mental recovery.
8. Set Realistic Goals:
Establish achievable goals that align with your values and priorities. Breaking larger goals into smaller, manageable steps can help you maintain motivation and a sense of accomplishment.
9. Let Go of Perfectionism:
Embrace the beauty of being perfectly imperfect. Free yourself from unrealistic expectations, and allow your journey to unfold naturally. You are enough, just as you are.
10. Maintain a Gratitude Journal
Cultivate a positive mindset by keeping a gratitude journal. Regularly write down things you’re grateful for. This practice can shift your focus toward positivity and improve your overall outlook on life.

Remember that your wellbeing is a holistic healing concept, and it’s essential to address all aspects of your health->physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. All of these aspects of you are what make you beautiful.
